MIRP: Brad Cornelius/ Wings
Taken out the window while driving north along northern California's Highway 1 in dense fog, near Mendocino.
I wanted a shot of this barn, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and wound up perfectly framing this thing. Now, if it's a bird, it's the biggest bird I've ever seen. The wingspan was about 12 feet -- maybe a condor? My only other guess is a hang glider...
It could be the fog playing tricks, but to me it looks like something that should've gone extinct a million years ago.
